The KPMG Tortola Torture 2016
The KPMG Tortola Torture, a 33.4 mile ultramarathon, will take place in the British Virgin Islands on April 16, 2016. In its second year, the event’s course on this mountainous Caribbean island is 33.4 miles with 6,587 feet of climbing over 12.8 miles, and 13.1 miles of descending. There will only be 7.5 miles of flat running for the entire course.

USVI’s Hindes takes Inaugural Ring Of Fire
Thirty runners took part in the inaugural Ring Of Fire presented by KPMG on Saturday December 19.
The race started and finished in Cane Garden Bay and was an 11.65-mile reverse loop race with 3,546 feet of climbing and 3,546 of descending. Only 12% (1.39 miles) of the race was on the flat. The racers ascended to 1,368 feet twice. The first lap was a clock-wise loop of Cane Garden Bay and the Ridge Road; the second lap was an anti-clockwise loop of the same course after turning at Elm Beach Bar.

Ring Of Fire presented by KPMG – a Torture taster
The Ring Of Fire presented by KPMG will take place on Saturday, December 19, starting and finishing in Cane Garden Bay.
This Torture Taster, is an 11.65-mile reverse loop race with 3,546 feet of climbing and 3,546 feet of descending. 44% of the race is uphill, 44% downhill, 12% on the flat.

New, extended, course for 2016 BVI Ultramarathon
The Tortola Torture – the BVI’s most extreme athletic event and only ultramarathon – will see a longer course with more climbing in 2016.
The new course takes competitors to Sage Mountain, missing Cane Garden Bay. This change has added 659 feet of climbing and 1.8 miles to the total mileage. The climb from Carrot Bay to Sage Mountain will be 2.7 miles, ascending to 1,532 feet.

70 Compete In Inaugural Ultramarathon Sufferfest In BVI
