I know that participating in any race in the Tortola Torture Triple is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by submitting this entry form, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I also certify that I have medical insurance cover and/or understand that I will be personally responsible for any medical costs caused as a result of any injury or illness sustained as a result of participating in these races and no such costs will be reimbursed by the race the organizer(s), any affiliated organizations and sponsors, employees and associated personnel, officers, directors, agents, including the owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official or volunteer relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but no limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, dehydration or fatigue, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades and animals are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. I understand that I will be walking/running on roads that are open to traffic and that if I chose to listen to personal music whilst running on these roads it will increase the risk of traffic injury. If I nevertheless choose to listen to a personal music player, I understand that I do so at my own risk. I understand that I am responsible for my own nutrition and hydration and that there are not sufficient aid or water stations to provide sufficient water and nutrition to complete the course, but instead I must make my own arrangements. I also understand that only very limited medical support (dealing with very minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes) will be provided and I must carry a working telephone at all times and, in the event of an emergency, should telephone the emergency services. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your allowing me to participate in these races, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers of the Tortola Torture Triple, the Sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
