We have teamed up with Gayle Lindsay (sister of Kat Lindsay, for BVI residents) to provide 12-week training plans for the 2026 event. Gayle recently won the BVI Half Marathon with her sister in a time of 1:40:55. She is a certified UESCA and VDOT running coach who has been running most of her life. Her personal bests include a 3:04 marathon, 1:23 half marathon, 35:59 10km, 18:01 5km and a 5:11 mile. She has experience running every distance from the speed-based 800m to the endurance-demanding marathon.

Her 12-week Tortola Torture ultramarathon training plan is designed to build the strength, endurance, and resilience required for race day. Each week blends targeted running workouts with complementary strength training routines to strengthen muscles, improve stability, and reduce injury risk. The result is a well-rounded approach that prepares both your body and mind for the challenge ahead.
